Ards – 1st XI Coach

Ards Ladies Hockey Club are looking for a Coach for 2018-19 season for their 1st XI who are currently one of the top teams in Ireland and play in the EYIHL.

The successful candidate will be qualified to Level 2 standard or to Level 1 standard with previous experience of coaching at Premier League/ Senior League 1 or Representative Level.  The role holder will be a positive role model with good communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire not only the team to achieve its potential but also each player within the training and playing squad.

Ideally we are looking for someone who is available to lead two training sessions per week and who will be available on a Saturday for matches, both home and away.  Part of the role of the 1st XI coach will be to work on talent identification and development with the club Development Officer and the other club coaches.

Belfast Harlequins Ladies HC is seeking an Assistant Coach and Manager for the 1st Xl Squad for the new season in the EYHL1.

Ideally our Assistant Coach would have experience in a high performance environment but all CVs will be considered if you have high aspirations and enthusiasm. Availability for all matches and at least one training night per week is desirable. (Persons still playing will also be considered).

A great Manager has enthusiasm and diplomacy in abundance. The administrative duties are already established and for both positions there are experienced club members to help out.

Although we are advertising these as 2 positions we would welcome an amazing person who could ‘manage’ both!

Carrickfergus Grammar School

Post Title: Part-time Temporary Hockey Coach
Location: Carrickfergus Grammar School
Responsible to: Head of Girls PE

Job Purpose – This post is to support the coaching of hockey after school and on Saturday mornings throughout the hockey season. To be paid hourly in line with the Education Authority pay scale.

Main Responsibilities – To provide coaching and training to particular year groups during games sessions and/or after school.

To supervise the practice sessions from commencement until all students depart.

To umpire matches as required during the week and on Saturdays.

Day and times are negotiable.


Essential Criteria:
Level 1 Hockey Coaching qualification

Good communication skills

The ability to maintain positive working relationships with, students, staff, parents and external agencies.

Portadown Ladies Hockey Club – 2nd XI COACH

Portadown Ladies Hockey Club are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and creative coach or player coach to lead their  2nd XI team in to the 2018/19 season [and beyond].

Level 1 coaching qualification is desirable  but not essential. Applicants will ideally have a dynamic, hardworking personality and a passion to develop young and emerging players.

Required for training on a Wednesday night and match days. Salary negotiable with experience.

We train on a Wednesday evening and play matches on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons.
