Lurgan Ladies’ Hockey Club

Lurgan Ladies Hockey Club based at Lurgan JHS are seeking to recruit a new first eleven Head Coach. Our 1sts currently compete in the Premier League and EYHL2 with training two nights per week. The club has 4 senior teams that play in Ulster Hockey, Premiership, Junior 1, Junior 2 and Junior 7, also a vibrant & successful youth section ranging from primary 2’s to U15. The role of a new Head Coach would be responsible for ensuring the continued high performance of the Ladies 1st team.  They would also oversee our existing player pathway and development culture and help drive recruitment within the club whilst helping to continue the success we have enjoyed in recent seasons.


Ideally the successful candidate should have at least Level 2 Hockey Coaching qualification or equivalent.

The club are willing to support a coach working towards further coaching qualifications.

The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be prepared to integrate and lead our already talented coaching team and playing squads.

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Plan & deliver enjoyable and productive training sessions on a Monday & Wednesday
  • Be available to coach 1st XI on matchday.
  • Selection for matches, assisted by the first eleven coaching / management team
  • Be responsible for player development.
  • Continued implementation of our player pathway.

Saintfield Men’s Hockey Club

Saintfield Men’s Hockey Club are seeking applications for the position of Club Coach/ Player Coach for the remainder of the 2021/22 season and into the 2022/23 season. The 1st XI are currently in the Intermediate league of Ulster Hockey, while the 2nd XI are in Junior 5. Both teams have become stronger this season with the introduction of many new players. The 1st XI have solidified themselves in the league and are unbeaten in the Irish Challenge Cup, while the 2nd XI have picked up several wins already in their league. Both teams have made large strides from previous seasons and are looking to add a club coach or player coach to grow further.

Saintfield Men’s Hockey Club is Clubmark accredited, an ambitious and rapidly developing club which operates two Senior men’s teams in the Ulster leagues, training twice a week at Saintfield Sports Club. Training is from 8pm to 9.30pm Mondays and Wednesdays.


Applicants should be at least level one Coaching qualified. The club will consider funding further coaching qualifications to the selected candidate.


The position of Club Coach/ Player Coach will be remunerated at a competitive rate.

  Dungannon Ladies Hockey Club 2nd XI & 3rd XI Coach     
Dungannon Ladies Hockey Club are seeking to appoint a club coach to coach our 2nd XI and 3rd XI for the 2021/22 season We have 3 teams competing in Ulster Premier League, Junior 2 and Junior 3 and are based at the Royal School Dungannon.
Qualifications & skills

  • Candidates will have previous coaching experience and a Level 1 coaching qualification is essential.
  • Must be available to coach Wednesday nights, 7pm to 9pm

  • Plan and deliver training sessions on a Wednesday night
  • If available, coaching for games on a Saturday

          LURGAN LADIES 3’s & 4’s HOCKEY COACH 
Lurgan Ladies Hockey Club is based at Lurgan JHS with training on 2 nights per week & the 4 senior teams play in Ulster Hockey competitions. The club has a vibrant & successful youth section & it is important that all girls graduating to the senior club receive quality coaching to aid their continued development.
Qualifications and Skills

Ideally the successful candidate should have at least Level 1 Hockey Coaching or the club could help with them undertaking this or a coaching award. The successful candidate should have good communication & organisational skills. Work as part of a team with the Head Coach & other team coaches/managers & captains.


Plan & deliver training sessions on a Monday & Wednesday & if possible be available to coach at matches on a Friday night or Saturday afternoon. (However delivering training sessions is the priority) Assist the captain with selection for matches. Develop the general play of players as well as PC roles in both attack & defence.
