Ulster Hockey is delighted to launch our new 2021-26 Strategy: Inspire, Build, Sustain.
We would like to thank the Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey MLA and the Department for Communities for hosting the launch of the strategy and celebration of 125 years of hockey in Ulster at Parliament Buildings, and we acknowledge the Minister’s continued support for Ulster Hockey.
Our strategy sets out an ambitious future direction for Ulster Hockey. Our clubs are central to the successful implementation of this plan and we are targeting a period of growth through which we will raise the profile of the game of hockey and consolidate our position as leaders in the sports sector and one of the largest and most significant sports in the Province.
Ulster Hockey is the first sports governing body in the region to have undertaken a process of strategic consultation which has included all stakeholders and members and has taken cognisance of how we can make a contribution to the Programme for Government, Strategy for Sport and Sport NI Corporate Plan.
As a result of this robust and detailed process, we are confident that we now have the foundations in place to deliver a sustainable future for the Ulster Hockey Family through alignment to our stakeholders and also meet the needs of all of our clubs, schools, players and volunteers.
The hard work starts here in our collective efforts of achieving our vision to ‘Increase participation, support excellence, and develop a sustainable game for the Ulster Hockey family’.
