In the Legacy Wealth Management Premier League, Belfast Harlequins are looking to return to winning ways as they host Banbridge.
The South Belfast side narrowly lost 2-1 to title-chasing Portadown last weekend and now face the side they convincingly beat on matchday one.
The last time these two sides met it was Quins to came out with a 7-0 win with goals from Alyssa Jebb (2), Claire Whiteside (2), Katie Larmour, Megan Getty and Jenna Henry.
Banbridge come into the game bottom of the table and without a point so far this season.
Should they cause an upset at Deramore Park, the bottom side could move to within just one point of safety.
Elsewhere Queen’s University are out to continue their unbeaten start to the season as they take on mid-table Omagh.
Having dropped points just once this campaign, the reigning champions are top of the division going into matchday nine.
Simon Bell’s side have also netted a league-high 28 goals whilst having the sternest defence, conceding just one in eight games.
Their opponents have made a promising start under new coach Mark Cuddy and come into the weekend just one point off their tally for the entirety of last season.
They also come into this weekend in fine form with two wins in their last three games with Aimee Buchanan netting in her last two outings.
Mossley are looking to get back to winning ways as they host seventh-placed Armagh at the Glade.
Davy Menaul’s side made a promising start to life in the division, winning two of their opening four games in the division but have since slipped to eighth place, without a win in their last four.
They now face the side who beat them 1-0 on the opening day of the season.
That day a Mia Taylor strike was enough to seal all three points for her side and get them off to a winning start to the campaign.
Now just behind Omagh on goal difference, a similar result could see them be within touching distance of the top half of the table.
At the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre, Ballymoney host Lisnagarvey in the final game on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts are without a win in their last three games and we most recently held to an entertaining 3-3 draw against Armagh.
Ballymoney are also led by the in-form Koren Ferguson who has already scored an impressive four goals for her side, including a strike in the reverse fixture.
That day it was Lisnagarvey who came out on top, winning 3-1 at Comber Road with goals of their own from Chrissy Hopkins, Beth Ravey and Louise Hughes.
They now come into this weekend’s fixture in search of a third win in a row having beaten both Armagh and Mossley in recent weeks.
