With the 2022-23 season reaching it’s conclusion Ulster Hockey would like to thank all clubs for their participation and congratulate those sides who were successful in achieving silverware.
This season had a total of 19 senior men’s competitions (7 leagues & 12 cups) being contested across all levels of Ulster Hockey.
As well as our own competitions, Ulster was also well represented in the EYHL with Cookstown, Instonians, Annadale and Lisnagarvey playing alongside eventual title winners Banbridge in the division.
Banbridge also went on to win the Irish Senior Cup, Champions Trophy and as well as host and win the Eurohockey Club Trophy II.
Meanwhile within Ulster competitions, Queen’s University had a memorable season as they won the Premiership title after a long and close battle with South Antrim and Bangor.
In the junior leagues Kilkeel 2nd XI and Instonians 3rd XI both had outstanding seasons as they saw both league and cup success in their respective divisions.
Elsewhere Lisnagarvey Hockey Club had a brilliant year with their 1st XI winning both The Anderson Cup and Millar McCall Wylie Kirk Cup, whilst their 2nd XI were also amongst those sides to win a league and cup double and their 4th XI won the McClements Cup.
