Belfast Telegraph Girls Senior Cup Semi-Final Draw

Yesterday morning, Ulster Hockey held the 2026 Belfast Telegraph Girls Senior Cup Semi-Final draw at Stormont.

The final four sees both of last year’s finalists, Portadown College and Royal School Armagh, joined by 2018 champions Rainey Endowed and Strathearn, who are looking to win the competition for the first time since 1992.

In the Quarter-Finals, it was Royal School Armagh who were the biggest winners as they beat Methodist College Belfast 3-0 whilst Portadown College and Rainey Endowed secured narrow wins over Belfast Royal Academy and Sullivan Upper.

Meanwhile, Strathearn squeezed past Banbridge Stevenson Cup finalists Banbridge Academy, winning via a shootout following a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Representing the Belfast Telegraph, Sports Journalist Keith Bailie conducted the draw alongside Ulster Hockey CEO Marc Scott with the following ties being drawn:

Semi-Final 1 – Strathearn School vs Royal School Armagh

Semi-Final 2 – Portadown College vs Rainey Endowed

Both ties will be played on Tuesday, 24th February 2026 at Banbridge Hockey Club, with the games getting underway at 1pm and 3pm.
