Yesterday afternoon, Ulster Hockey held the Semi-Final draw for the John Minnis Burney Cup at Stormont.
This year’s final four consists of back-to-back champions Royal Belfast Academical Institution, 2022 champions Banbridge Academy, 2017 winners Sullivan Upper and Bangor Grammar, who are looking to win the competition for the first time since 1983.
The Quarter-Finals saw Sullivan Upper secure a 5-0 win over Friends’ School Lisburn, whilst Banbridge Academy and Bangor Grammar secured narrow wins over Wallace High School and Campbell College.
Reigning champions RBAI progressed with a shootout victory over Cookstown High School following a 2-2 draw in normal time.
The Semi-Final draw was conducted by sponsor John Minnis and Ulster Hockey CEO Marc Scott, with the following ties being drawn:
Semi-Final 1 – Banbridge Academy vs Sullivan Upper
Semi-Final 2 – Bangor Grammar vs Royal Belfast Academical Institution
Both ties will take place on Wednesday, 25th February 2026 with the action getting underway from 1pm and 3pm.
All spectators are welcome at the event, with a gate fee of £3 for pupils and £6 for adults.
