Everyone at Ulster Hockey is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of two-time President and Finance Committee member Kenny Lee on Sunday.
Away from his roles at Ulster Hockey, Kenny was a long-standing member of Instonians Hockey Club and was also presented with the Carson Clarke Memorial Award earlier this year for his services to hockey throughout the years.
“Everyone at Ulster Hockey is desperately sad to hear the news of Kenny’s passing and I pass the thoughts of the Board and staff to Kenny’s family and friends.
Kenny was a great servant to the sport of hockey, having made a significant contribution to Instonians and Mossley Men’s Hockey clubs and to Ulster Hockey in various roles over a lengthy period. It was a privilege to be in attendance as Kenny received the Carson Clarke Memorial award earlier this year, a richly deserved award for selfless commitment to the sport.
On a personal note, I will miss Kenny’s support, guidance and input as a valued member and laterally Chair of the Finance Committee. Kenny’s balanced approach, passion for hockey and wit will be sorely missed by the Committee and beyond.”

A Service of Thanksgiving for Kenneths’s life will be held in Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium on Monday 22nd September 2025 at 11.00 a.m.
