NI Children’s Hospice Big Coffee Break

Our Chief Executive, Marc Scott and Finance Officer Nicki Bayes attended the launch of NI Children’s Hospice Big Coffee Break.  The Hospice is Ulster Hockey’s charity partner.  Ulster Hockey will be hosting our own coffee morning in September and we’d encourage our clubs to support this worthy cause.

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice is a local charity providing specialist respite, symptom management and end of life palliative care to over 370 infants, children and young people living with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses both in the family home and in our Children’s Hospice in Newtownabbey.

Marc said ‘It was a pleasure to attend the launch of the Big Coffee Break in the NI Hospice ‘Old School’ coffee house.  CEO Heather Weir and her team do an inspirational job serving the community through difficult times.  Ulster Hockey would encourage all of our clubs and members of the Hockey Family to get behind the Hospice and raise much needed funds to ensure they can continue to provide essential services to patients with life-limiting illness’.

You may also have been aware of the ‘Elmer invasion’ in and around Belfast City Centre.  This campaign was to raise awareness of the Hospice and Marc was joined by his sons Tom and Oliver on the Elmer trail.  Feel free to share your Elmer photos on our social media!!
