Ulster Hockey is delighted to announce The Wooden Floor Company as the new sponsor of the Senior Schoolgirls’ Superleague.
After a two year break, the competition will return in September 2022, providing great competition for a large number of schools across the Province.
The Super League is one of the flagship competitions for girls schools. The competition which started in 2016 has two tiers with over 30 girls schools participating. With 7 winners over the last 8 competitions, it always proves to be an open tournament, with everyone in with a shout of winning. After the success of the Ulster schools in the Irish tournaments, with Methodist College lifting the Kate Russell and Royal School Armagh winning the June Smith, the standard of schoolgirls hockey in Ulster is higher than ever.
The Wooden Floor Company Director, Richard Snape stated that “The Wooden Floor Company is home to some of Belfast’s premier flooring solutions. From our location just off Boucher Road on Falcon Road, we’re helping customers make their homes and special spaces look amazing with some of the best wood flooring Belfast has to offer.
We pride ourselves on being able to offer high-quality flooring options, from expertly crafted herringbone flooring – very popular in Belfast just now – to vinyl and laminate options in a wide range of colours and thicknesses.
We are delighted to sponsor the Girls’ Super League and hope all teams not only do their best to “floor“ the competition but most importantly have fun in this early cup competition”.
Talking about the sponsorship Ulster Hockey Chief Executive Marc Scott stated ‘I am delighted that Ulster Hockey has the opportunity to partner with one of the region’s leading home improvement brands. This agreement is testament to the profile and standard of schools hockey in Ulster at present and I look forward to this tournament going from strength to strength and our partnership with the Wooden Floor Company flourishing’.
