The All-Ireland Schoolboys Championships takes place this week in venues across Dublin as the best schools teams battle it out for the Tasmanian Shield and the new Herbie Sharman Perpetual Shield.

The competition consists of four initial groups of four played out over Wednesday and Thursday and the table-toppers going on to the semi-finals in the Tasmanian Shield. This year, the second placed teams in each group will also have playoff games to look forward. The second placed sides will play semi-finals and a final on Friday in addition to the main competition.

This year 7 Ulster schools will be taking part with Wallace HS, Sullivan Upper, Banbridge Academy, Friends’ School, Cookstown HS, Methodist College and Regent House flying the flag for Ulster at the competition. Ulster Hockey would like to wish all 7 of the Ulster schools the best of luck over the next few days in Dublin!
