ULSTER U16 U18 COACHES REQUIRED

Ulster Hockey is seeking to appoint qualified coaches to work with the Ulster Hockey Performance Groups at U16 and U18 levels for both genders.

Appointments to include:
• Manager
• Head Coach
• Assistant Coach/es
• Goalkeeper coach

Roles operate within the Ulster Hockey Player Pathway, led and managed by Ulster Hockey’s Talent Coach.

The coaching role will be for an initial 12 months, with the possibility of it being extended for a further 12 month period. It is anticipated that each squad’s programme will begin around August/September time, and include the following:

• 2 Interprovincial games before the end of 2021
• 2 interprovincial games before Easter 2022
• A ‘Finals’ Day around Easter 2022.
• Possible development series either in NI or the UK (dates etc TBC)
• Training/development sessions as required from August/September 2021 onwards

Ulster Hockey will provide appointed Head and Assistant Coaches with Guidelines on their role and all Coaches will be provided with the opportunity to undertake associated CPD opportunities. An Honorarium will be paid to both Head and Assistant Coaches in recognition of their contribution to the
Performance Programmes.  Successful candidates will be expected to formally accept a formal contract and commit to adhering to all policies, procedures and codes of ethics as implemented by Ulster Hockey.

We expect all applicants to have minimum Level 1 Coaching Qualification. All applicants will be expected to have attended Safeguarding awareness training and appointments will be subject to Access NI checks.

– your coaching experience
– how you believe you can assist the development of our leading talent
at these age levels;
– Evidence of Safeguarding certificate
