Ulster U16 girls will travel to Wales tomorrow as they prepare to face off in a three match Easter series over the coming weekend.
The sides are set to have their first meeting on Friday, with a 5:30pm start before they also go head-to-head on Saturday (1pm) and Sunday (10:30am).
Ulster Hockey Talent and Pathway’s Manager Shirley McCay, who had a highly successful international career herself. Now speaking on the series, she was quick to highlight how valuable an experience this will be for the team;
‘Playing a series versus an international underage side is a fantastic opportunity and I am delighted that we have a strong group of girls travelling to Cardiff.
It is a fantastic chance to gain experience, bond as a team and develop individually. The girls are lucky to have an excellent coaching group, and I wish them all the best in what should be 3 competitive fixtures.’
