Ulster Hockey are teaming up with Disability Sport NI to sign post off players that may not be able to play hockey any more due to an injury but would like to still play a team sport that can offer so much.

Wheelchair Basketball is a fast growing sport, which provides opportunities for people to stay active and remain involved in team sport, with many players taking part in Wheelchair Basketball once retiring from various running sports such as Hockey.

In Northern Ireland there are 4 existing clubs, who all compete in a domestic league and cup. All of the clubs are constantly on the look-out for new players and would welcome any newcomers. There is also a mens and womens Northern Ireland squad, which caters for those who want to play the sport at a higher level and continue their development into performance sport.

If you fancy a NEW challenge and this opportunity interests you or if you have any questions at all about the sport please feel free to contact Ulster Hockey at admin@ulsterhockey.com or Disability Sport NI at dcooper@dsni.co.uk for more information!
