They now face a Mossley side who have been in fine form this campaign and recently caused an upset of their own, beating Belfast Harlequins 5-1 away from home.
In the race for the final EYHL2 place, Belfast Harlequins host Ballymoney at Deramore Park having beaten them 2-0 just two weeks ago.
That day goals from Alyssa Jebb and Katherine Welshman sealed the away victory for the Belfast club who have lost just one of their last six games in the division.
In contrast, Saturday’s opponents come into the tie in need of all three points as they currently occupy the relegation playoff spot.
With just eight points this campaign, the side are one point behind eighth-place Armagh meaning a first win in five outings could see them move out of relegation threat.
Elsewhere Lisnagarvey take on Banbridge for the second time this month with the Hillsborough side continuing their push for EYHL2 hockey next season.
Two weeks ago it was Garvey who came out on top in the derby clash with goals from Beth Ravey, Beth McFerran and Chrissy Hopkins sealing a 3-1 win.
They now come into this tie fourth in the table and just one point behind third placed Belfast Harlequins.
Meanwhile, Banbridge come into the tie searching for their first win of the season and sitting bottom of the table.
The final game on Saturday afternoon sees Lurgan host Armagh.
Like both Lisnagarvey and Belfast Harlequins, Lurgan are also in the race for the final EYHL2 spot and are currently two points off third place, but with two games in hand of their challengers.
They come into the weekend off the back of a recent 2-1 win over Lisnagarvey but now face an Armagh side looking to avoid falling into the relegation playoff place.
On Friday night Portadown continued their title charge and remained unbeaten with a 3-0 win against Omagh at Edenvilla.
