Belfast Harlequins continue their Legacy Wealth Management Premier League title charge as they host Omagh at Deramore Park.
Coming into the weekend in second by just goal difference, Quins have made a fine start to the season and have been in fine form in recent weeks, winning each of their last three outings.
Last week saw them hit Ballymoney for six as they secured a 6-1 win with 2023/34 Duke Cup winner Alyssa Jebb netting a hat-trick to bring her tally for the season to six, the third most in the division.
They now face an Omagh side who have struggled at the beginning of this season, picking up just one point from their opening five games of the season.
However, they have reason to be optimistic for this weekend’s tie, having picked up points in both their meetings with Harlequins last season.
At the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre, Ballymoney are looking to get their first points of the season when they take on leaders Ards.
The league’s bottom side have lost each of their opening six fixtures but have been bolstered by the goalscoring form of Lucy McCartney who has netted a team high three goals this season.
However, they now face the only unbeaten side in the division as they face the 2021/22 champions Ards.
The visitors are also the division’s sternest defence, with goalkeeper Naomi McKnight conceding just two goals this campaign.
They also come into the tie off the back of their biggest win this season when goals from Zara Malseed (2), Emma Reid, Alana Thornton, Alyssa Boyd, Alana Doyle and Susie Cotter saw them thrash Larne 7-1.
The final game of Saturday’s action sees Armagh looking to end their run of three games without a win as they travel to Lurgan.
The visitors come into the weekend in eighth place having picked up five points so far this campaign, but have drawn two and lost one of their last three.
They now face a Lurgan side who are looking to win for a fourth time in five outings.. Recent weeks have seen victories over Lisnagarvey, Belfast Harlequins and Ballymoney before last weekend’s loss to Mossley.
Now sixth, a win could see Andy Brown’s side climb as high as fourth in the table should other results go in their favour.
