Legacy Wealth Management Premier League leaders Ards continue their title charge as they get the weekend’s action underway when they host Banbridge this evening.
The fixture is one of two games taking place tonight, with in-form Lisnagarvey also travelling to face Armagh.
Firstly, Ards will be hoping they can continue their fine form in recent weeks, with the side still unbeaten and having recorded two big victories in their most recent outings.
Wins over Larne and Ballymoney have come at an aggregate scoreline of 13-1 and seen both Zara Malseed and Alana Doyle get three goals each.
The side now face a Banbridge team who, themselves, have been amongst the goals this season with 16 in their six outings.
Meanwhile, forward Stef Ardis is amongst the top scorers in the division with eight strikes to her name in 2025/26.
At Ardmore, Lisnagarvey will extend their winning run to four games should they beat Armagh.
Ryan McMaster’s side had beaten Omagh and Banbridge before goals from Beth Ravey, Scarlett Swann, Rachel Cox and Jess Moore helped the side to a 4-0 win over Larne last Friday night.
Should Ards drop points, a positive result this evening would see the side move into top with Belfast Harlequins also in the race.
Opponents Armagh come into the tie without a win in their last four outings and are currently eighth in the table.
However, having conceded just eight goals this campaign, only the top two sides have a better defensive record than them.
In the first of Saturday’s action, Mossley host Belfast Harlequins at The Glade.
The visitors will be keeping a keen eye on Friday night’s action as they come into the weekend level on points with leaders Ards and could be in top spot come Saturday afternoon.
Like title rivals Lisnagarvey, they too are on a great run of form, having won their last four games and conceding just two goals in that time.
They now take on a Mossley side who returned to winning ways in their last fixture, securing all three points with an impressive 3-0 win over Lurgan after goals from Reah Little (2) and Anna Glassey.
Elsewhere, the league’s bottom two go head-to-head as Ballymoney host Omagh.
Both sides are without a win this season, and they come into the weekend separated by just one point.
Last season it was Ballymoney who had the bragging rights between these sides with a 3-1 win coming with goals from Koren Ferguson, Rebbecca Ross and Abby Tutty before a 0-0 draw later in the season.
A win for either side wouldn’t be enough to see them escape the relegation zone, but could significantly reduce the gap to eighth-place Armagh.
The final game of the weekend sees Lurgan host Larne at Lurgan College.
With four wins in their last five, Lurgan are yet another side in the division who come into the weekend in top form.
Since their opening day defeat to Ards, the side have been bolstered by the form of Lydia McNeill and Lauren Wright who have both scored four goals this season, helping their side climb to fourth place.
Opponents Larne made a strong start to the season, winning two of their first three, but are now without a win in their last three outings.
Their run of form has seen the side slip to seventh in the division and just one point ahead of eighth place.
