Ards could move eight points clear at the top of the Legacy Wealth Management Premier League when they travel Lurgan on Saturday.
The current league leaders have a five-point lead with second-placed Belfast Harlequins out of action this weekend.
Unbeaten this season, Ards have proved unstoppable, winning nine of their ten league games and come into the weekend off the back of a resounding win over their title rivals.
On Wednesday evening goals from Zara Malseed (2), Alyssa Boyd (2), Maddie Leathem and Susie Cotter saw the side win 6-0 and move into a commanding position at the top of the table.
However, they now face one of the division’s in form sides who also boast the most in-form player.
Andy Brown’s side have won each of their last three games in the division, whilst Lydia McNeill has scored six goals in her last seven games.
However, it was Ards who came out on top when the sides met on the opening day of the season, winning 3-0.
At the opposite end of the table, Larne host Omagh with both sides in need of a win.
Coming into the weekend, five points separate the two sides who occupy seventh and bottom, respectively.
Meanwhile, both teams come into the weekend looking for an upturn in form, with Larne without a win in their last seven league outings and Omagh yet to win this season.
The two sides last met on matchday one when it was Larne who came out on top, winning 2-0 with goals from Alex Lyle and Selina Lewis.
At The Glade, Mossley could make it three wins in a row when they host Armagh.
In recent weeks, Davy Menaul’s side have sealed wins over Omagh and Larne without conceding a goal.
A third win in succession could see the side move level on points with fourth place Lurgan and move into EYHL2 contention.
Opponents Armagh come into the weekend in eighth place, without a win since matchday two, but boast the fourth best defence in the league, conceding just 14 goals this term.
The final game of the weekend sees Ballymoney host EYHL2 chasing Lisnagarvey.
A win for the hosts could see them climb out of the relegation playoff place as they sit just two points behind Armagh, however, defeat would leave the door open for Omagh to move off the foot of the table.
Meanwhile, Lisnagarvey would climb to second with a win, and come into the weekend having won five of their last six.
