Royal School Armagh are out to win their fourth consecutive Stevenson Cup as they take on Banbridge Academy in tomorrow’s Final at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club.
The game is one of four finals taking place throughout the day, with both Cookstown High School and Banbridge Academy featuring in Junior and Senior Finals.
The main event of the day sees Royal School Armagh and Banbridge Academy contest the Stevenson Cup Final.
The reigning champions have won the competition for the past three seasons and reached this stage for a fourth consecutive season, beating Belfast Royal Academy in the previous round.
After a 0-0 draw in normal time, Greg Thompson’s side required a shoot-out to get past their Belfast rivals, winning 5-4.
However, the side will be without forward Katie Herron for the game as she has travelled to Chile with the Ireland U21s to compete in the World Cup which gets underway later this week.
They now take on a Banbridge Academy side that impressed in the Semi-Finals as they beat the reigning Belfast Telegraph Girls Senior Cup champions Portadown College.
A late goal from Charlotte Betts sealed a narrow 1-0 win for Banbridge and prevented Portadown from reaching a third final in a row.
In the Senior Bowl Final, Cookstown High School take on Lurgan College after both sides secured narrow wins in the previous round.
In their Semi-Final, Cookstown had to come from behind to seal a victory over Antrim Grammar School. Having fallen behind to a Ruby Hyndman strike after just four minutes, the side relied on a late Lois Cunningham goal to draw level before eventually sealing a shoot-out victory.
Opponents Lurgan College left it late to book their spot in the final as they beat Glenlola Collegiate 1-0.
In another hard-fought Semi-Final, the sides looked to be destined for a shoot-out before Lydia Neill got the only goal of the game with just three minutes left on the clock.
