Ulster Hockey is delighted to announce Brain Injury Matters as our new Primary Charity Partner.
Brain Injury Matters was established in 2013 to support and empower children, adults, carers and families affected by acquired brain injury.
Brain Injury Matters has earned a reputation for developing and delivering a range of innovative programmes and initiatives led by a dedicated team of passionate, caring and experienced professionals for individuals affected by brain injury, their carers and wider community.
They work with children and adults with brain injuries and their families to develop programmes to help individuals become more independent, achieve their goals and help adjust to life with an acquired brain injury.
Speaking on the new partnership, Ulster Hockey CEO Marc Scott said;
“It is an absolute pleasure to partner with Brain Injury Matters. The charity impacts so positively on the lives of many and their families, providing support and independence to those with brain injuries.
As with Ulster Hockey, Brain Injury Matters has a small, dedicated and passionate team delivering on behalf of their community and there is a very clear alignment of the values of our organisations.
I would hope that this partnership can be enduring and will be beneficial to both Ulster Hockey and Brain Injury Matters.
I look forward to working closely with Gerard and his team going forward.”
Brain Injury Matters CEO Gerrard Anderson also added;
“As a charity that advocates for services that improve physical and mental health, it’s only fitting that we align our cause with organisations that share similar values of respect, integrity and inclusion.
I couldn’t be prouder to launch a three-year partnership with Ulster Hockey, an organisation that cares so much about their team, network and community.”
