Data Protection
Ulster Hockey will gather, process and use personal data for the following reasons:
• To contact the identified main hockey contact at the school or other identified personnel in the school in relation to the development of hockey in schools and the administration of schools’ competitions – this may be through the Ulster Hockey staff, Joint and Girls’/Boys’ Schools Committees, other Ulster Hockey Committees or the Management Board;
• To ensure the payment of affiliation and entry fees for schools and school competitions;
• To contact schools to offer the opportunity to nominate players for participation, development and representative programmes and provide development opportunities for pupils, teachers and coaches;
• To provide core services such as invitations to schools’ meetings, the Schools’ AGM, providing access to voting, consultation and information;
• To promote Ulster Hockey and Ulster Hockey schools’ competitions. This may include:
o naming of teams for semi-finals and finals in programmes, in the media and on the Ulster Hockey website or other social media platforms;
o capturing images of school matches or players as part of draws/launches of competitions, which may identify individual players and coaches. Such images will be taken by either Ulster Hockey staff or approved photographers. The images may be photographs, videos, live streaming. Ulster Hockey is likely to place images on the Ulster Hockey website or social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, and may pass them to the media.
Ulster Hockey will store your personal information on our IT system and will not share it with external organisations, without your permission, except as advised above. Occasionally we will contract individuals and organisations to act on our behalf and we may share your information with them. If we do, they will only have access to the information they need to fulfil the contract.
