Ulster Hockey U16s will take on the UK Lions in a series of fixtures at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club this weekend.
Our boys’ sides will feature in a number of games between Friday and Sunday, whilst our girls’ sides will feature on Saturday and Sunday.
These matches will be their first outing since playing in the Talent Academies Festival in Nottingham.
During that trip, our youth teams played talent academies from across England and Wales and will now face off against sides made up of the best players from across the UK.
Ulster Hockey Talent & Pathway Officer Joel Cathcart believes these games are another massive step in the development of our youth sides.

This will be another fantastic opportunity for our U16 squads to play competitive matches.
The Nottingham Talent Festival was two weeks ago and the UK Lions now gives even further opportunities for players and coaches to continue their development towards the interprovincial series and beyond.”
