Top of the table Ards will be looking to extend their gap at the top today as they take on Belfast Harlequins in the Legacy Ulster Women’s Premier League.
The two sides were both relegated from the EYHL last season, making them early favourites to be in the title mix this year.
Ards go into this fixture as the league’s early pacesetters with maximum points with opponents Quins having won two out of their three games.
Meanwhile, opponents Harlequins have bounced back from an opening day defeat and come into the game with two wins in a row.
The second game of the day sees Lisnagarvey looking to make it two wins in a row as they take on Lurgan.
Having lost their first two games of the season, two goals from Scarlett Swann helped Garvey bounce back with a resounding 6-2 victory over Omagh last week.
However, they face a tough task today as they take on last season’s runners-up who are unbeaten so far.
Lurgan themselves have four points from their two games to date and could go as high as second if results go their way this afternoon.
The final game of the day will see Queen’s University look to bounce back from defeat last week as they travel to Armagh.
The students currently sit second in the league and started the season in fine form with two wins before a shock defeat to a youthful Portadown last week.
Today’s game provides a chance for them to bounce back and regain the ground they lost in the race for the title.
Opponents Armagh will be in search of their first points of the season as they have lost all three of their opening games to Ards, Belfast Harlequins and Ballymoney.
