In the Legacy Ulster Women’s Premier League second-placed Queen’s University take on ninth-placed Banbridge.
The students could make it seven games unbeaten when they travel to Havelock Park with Simon Bell’s side also having won four of their last five.
Having dropped points last week against Lurgan they will be hoping for a swift return to winning ways. Meanwhile, Banbridge could climb to eighth in the table if they better Omagh’s result this weekend.
With just one win this campaign it has been a difficult start for the hosts and if they are to get something from today’s game, they will be reliant on Rachel Cairns adding to her five strikes this season.
Portadown will be hoping they can keep the pressure on the top two as they travel to Belfast Harlequins.
The youthful side are four points off second place, but with a game in hand as they prepare to take on a Quins side who have lost three of their last five.
However, a win for the hosts could see them climb as high as fourth in the table if other results go their way.
In a massive game towards the bottom of the table tenth placed Armagh will host Ballymoney.
The home side find themselves in the midst of a run of four games without a win, but are only bottom of the table by goal difference and one point off eighth.
A win today would also see them go level on points with today’s opponents Ballymoney in seventh, but they face a side who have just ended a losing run of their own.
Last week’s win against Omagh ended a run of six straight losses since the opening day of the season when they beat today’s opponents 3-0.
Should they make it back-to-back wins today, they would remain seventh in the table but could reduce the gap to sixth to just three points.
The final game of the day sees Omagh travel to Lurgan as they look for a first win since matchday two.
They face a Lurgan side who they have already taken a point off as the two sides drew 2-2 on matchday one, however, they have gone on to lose seven games in a row.
Lurgan will prove to be difficult opponents as they have made a strong start to the season and just last week held Queen’s University to a 2-2 draw.
With just one defeat in their last five games, they find themselves fifth in the table and know a win could see them overtake Lisnagarvey into fourth.
