There were four games in the Legacy Ulster Women’s Premier League with Queen’s University earning a narrow 1-0 victory against an in-form Lisnagarvey side.
The win sees them extend their lead at the top of the division to three points as they capitalised on title rivals Ards having their game postponed on Friday night.
A tight game at The Dub saw the sides prove inseparable in the first half as they went into the break at 0-0.
However, the Lisnagarvey defence couldn’t hold on as a Zoe Wilson strike in the second half gave the visitors a 1-0 lead and all three points.
Three goals from Katie Larmour, Ella Latuske and Susie McCollum sealed victory for Belfast Harlequins against Armagh.
The result moves the side up to third in the table whilst their opponents lost their sixth game in a row to stay bottom.
Banbridge got their second win of the season when they won 3-1 away to Omagh and overtook their opponents in the league standings.
Joni Cunningham got her third goal of the season with Sam Bann and Rachel Hewitt also on the scoresheet to end a run of three straight losses.
The final game of the day saw Ballymoney and Lurgan draw 2-2 at the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre.
The result makes it three games unbeaten for Ballymoney and during that time they have picked up seven points as they sit seventh in the table.
Meanwhile, Lurgan are just two points off third spot with a game in hand despite Saturday’s results seeing them drop to fifth in the table.
