Monday 25 March saw the ‘Sport Building a United Community’ at Parliament Buildings which featured case studies and a panel discussion from Belfast Giants ice hockey, Ulster GAA, Ulster Rugby and the Irish Football Association. Ulster Hockey accepted an invitation to attend and partake in this event which was organized by Chris Lyttle at the IFA.
Representing Ulster Hockey, Inclusion & Diversity Officer Eamonn McFerran said;
‘It was great to hear the work of others who use the medium of sport to unite people. It also gave me the opportunity to tell of our journey in Ulster Hockey to politicians and sports providers, to establish contacts, and commence possible collaboration in sports ventures’.
Eamonn is pictured chatting to event sponsor Kellie Armstrong MLA about current projects in Larne, Carrickfergus, Holywood, as well as in the north west.
