In the Legacy Wealth Management Premier League leaders Queen’s University take on their closest challengers Portadown at The Dub.
Both sides have been in tremendous form this campaign and are separated by just two points coming into this weekend.
Simon Bell’s student outfit have a perfect record, are yet to concede a goal this campaign and are led by Zoe Wilson who has already netted a joint league-high seven goals.
However, Portadown have dropped points just once this season in a 3-3 draw with Lisnagarvey and also have the division’s joint top scorer Evie Girvan amongst their ranks.
With third place Lurgan six points behind Portadown, this top of the table clash is set to have massive implications on this season’s title race.
At the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre Ballymoney host third-placed Lurgan.
The visitors come into the game having picked up four points from their last two games and off the back of a 2-0 win over Lisnagarvey last time out.
Goals from Charlene Stewart and Chloe McCann sealed the win and continued their fine run of form in recent weeks.
They now face Ballymoney who have won just one of their opening five games and are currently ninth in the table.
However, the hosts can rely on the recent form of Koren Ferguson who has led her side for goals this season, netting three strikes already in 2024/25.
In the third game of the day, Mossley take on Belfast Harlequins as they look to continue their good start to life in the Legacy Wealth Management Premier League.
Following promotion Davy Menaul’s side have won two of their opening six matches and find themsleves comfortably in mid-table.
Their Belfast opponents come into the tie without a defeat in their last two games, during which they have picked up four points against two top-half teams in Lisnagarvey and Lurgan.
Currently fourth, a win for Harlequins could see them climb to third by the end of the weekend whereas defeat could see them slip to seventh.
The final game on Saturday sees Banbridge travel to Omagh in search of their first points of the campaign.
Having lost their opening five games of the season, the visitors are the current bottom side but are just three points behind ninth placed Ballymoney.
Their hosts come into the game in eighth and off the back of their first win of the season when they beat Mossley two weeks ago.
That day two goals form Gemma Buchanan and Laura White sealed a 2-0 win and ended a run of four games without a win.
Should they make it back-to-back victories, Omagh could move as high as sixth in the table and potentially just two points outside the top half.
On Friday night, goals from Beth McFerran, Beth Ravey and Scarlett Swann (2) helped Lisnagarvey to a 4-2 win over Armagh.
