In the Men’s Premier League, leaders South Antrim are out to continue their perfect start to the season as they face high-flying Portadown.
The Lisburn side are the only team yet to drop points this campaign and have a two point lead at the summit of the division.
Last week they overcame Kilkeel with David Gallagher and Chris Henry both scoring for the second week running but now face a strong Portadown outfit.
The travelling side suffered a heavy opening day defeat against Queen’s University but have picked up seven points from the following three games with Ryan Bennett netting five goals in that time.
At Deramore Park Belfast Harlequins take on an in-form Queen’s University side who have lost just once in the opening four games.
The students most recently eased past North Down with a 4-0 win following goals from Harry Scott (2), Josh Brownlee and Stephen Hamill whilst they are also the only team to avoid defeat against reigning champions Cookstown.
They face a Belfast Harlequins who have picked up seven points from their opening four games and were most recently held to a 1-1 draw at home to PSNI despite Cameron Ruttle putting them ahead early in the second half.
With both sides level on points, a win for either side could see them finish the weekend as high as third in the table.
Elsewhere, reigning champions Cookstown host Kilkeel as last season’s top two go head-to-head for the first time this campaign.
The champions have made a promising start to their title defence with 10 points from their opening four games.
Meanwhile, the form of Scott McCabe has been the highlight of some of their recent performances.
However, today’s opponents have had a difficult start to the campaign. Sitting eighth at the start of the weekend, Kilkeel have already lost just one game less than during the entirety of last season.
The side most recently lost 4-3 to South Antrim despite a hat-trick from Jordan McCartan and will be out to kick-start their season this afternoon.
In Comber, North Down take on Instonians with both sides looking to return to winning ways.
The home side got their only win of the season two weeks ago as they beat relegation rivals Bangor 5-4 however, lost for a third time in four games last weekend.
They now face Instonians who come into the game without a win in their last three outings with a draw against Portadown and defeats against both Cookstown and South Antrim.
The final game of the day sees Bangor take on PSNI.
