Kilkeel host North Down as the Men’s Premier League bottom two go head-to-head in a relegation six-pointer on Saturday afternoon.
The sides come into the weekend separated by just two points and having managed just one win between them this season.
In ninth, Kilkeel occupy the relegation playoff place with the gap to Bangor in eighth currently standing at six points with just six games remaining.
The side have lost each of their last seven in the division since they beat Belfast Harlequins but are boosted by the goal-scoring form of frontman David Rae.
The forward has scored seven goals this campaign, including four goals in his last four appearances and could play a key role if his side are to return to winning ways.
Meanwhile, North Down are still searching for their first win of the season and are currently on a run of 20 games without a win in the league dating back to last season.
However, they come into this tie off the back of a hard-fought 3-3 draw against Bangor last weekend which saw goals from Josh Gilmore, Andy Welsh and David Morris.
Portadown can climb back into the EYHL2 qualification places as they host Bangor at Edenvilla.
The home side have been in good form in the division, winning two of their last three in the league and sit just outside the qualification places.
Last time out, top scorer Ryan Bennett struck four times as he brought his tally to 17 for the season, as his side secured a narrow 5-4 win away to Kilkeel.
Meanwhile, Bangor come into the tie eighth in the division and without a win in their last four league games.
Should they end their winlless run, the side could close the gap to seventh-place Belfast Harlequins to just four points.
