This weekend’s Legacy Wealth Management Premier League action gets underway as Larne host Lurgan this evening.
The hosts are in the midst of their best run of form this season, unbeaten in five games and having drawn their last four, a run of form which has seen them move nine points clear of the relegation zone and all but seal their status in the division for next season.
Last time out, an Anna McRoberts strike helped the side earn a 1-1 draw at home to Banbridge and saw the side pick up points against sides above them in the division once more.
Hoping to continue that run of form, they now take on an in-form Lurgan, who could move to within one point of second place with a win.
Andy Brown’s side have won each other their last three game in the division without conceding a goal, meanwhile Danielle Irvine has sealed wins in both their last two outings with her strikes sealing 1-0 wins over both Mossley and Ballymoney.
Elsewhere, Armagh host Ballymoney in a massive game at the bottom end of the division.
Coming into the weekend, just two points separate Ballymoney in tenth and Armagh in eighth, with both sides having just five games remaining this season.
Both teams come into the tie looking to end a run of games without a win, with the sides having gone a combined 16 games without a victory.
The final game of the weekend sees Mossley looking to continue their EYHL2 qualification push as they host Banbridge.
Last weekend’s defeat to Lurgan is Mossley’s only defeat in their last seven league games, of which they have won five, leaving them just three points outside the EYHL2 places.
Opponents Banbridge come into the tie having lost just one of their last five, but without a win in their last two including a defeat to this weekend’s oppponents.
A Nancy McCusker strike came in a 4-1 defeat to Mossley just two weeks ago, a result which all but ended the sides EYHL2 hopes.
