Ulster Hockey is saddened to hear of the passing of Richard (Dickie) Eaton.
Richard has given 45 years of service to Raphoe Men’s Hockey Club as a player, coach and Chairman. A talented player, Richard represented Ireland at schoolboy level and was regular top scorer for Raphoe. He was the 1986 hockey winner of the Donegal Sports Star Award.
On behalf of the wider Ulster Hockey family, the Ulster Hockey Management Board and staff would like to pass condolences to Richard’s wife Christine, and children Tom and Cara and our thoughts are with the members of Raphoe Hockey Club at this difficult time.
As a mark of respect, all Raphoe matches will be postponed this weekend.
