This Sunday sees the conclusion of the boys U16 and U18 Interpro competitions, where Ulster will take on Leinster in both games hoping to add to the girls’ success on Sunday past. Both games are taking place in Rathdown, with the U16s starting at 2pm and the U18s at 4pm.
The U16 boys are led by George Palmer and are undefeated thus far, with two victories over Munster and a win v Leinster under their belts. It will be a tough encounter on Sunday, and George is looking forward to the game:
‘We have had 3 good wins so far and will be looking to finish our tournament strong. Leinster have some really good players, but so do we, we know it will be a tough game but one we are looking forward to. Being captain of the team has been an amazing experience so far.’
Coach Jordan Robinson knows it won’t be an easy task:
‘Leinster will be a great game for us, and we are looking forward to the challenge. The boys have trained really well in preparation, they are a fantastic group with real depth and quality, so I am hoping that shows come Sunday. We have used 25 boys in our tournament so far, and each one has deserved their place and pushed each other on to perform.’

The U18 boys have had a similar rich vein of form, winning their opening 3 games comfortably. They will be missing the services of Louis Rowe and Sam Anderson through injury, but have strength in their squad ahead of Sunday’s final game.
Captain Charlie Rowe is grateful for the opportunity to play in the big games:
‘It’s been a great year for us so far and we are thankful we are able to play a game like this with everything that’s happened over the last couple of years. we have a really strong team and hope to be crowned interpro champions come Sunday.’
Co-head coach Paddy Grimes:
‘The match present a great opportunity for the players and us as coaches to pick up some silverware after a long period without any intperprovincial competition so we are looking forward to the challenge and hopefully a good performance come Sunday.’
