Ulster hockey has been considering becoming a Charitable Company for the past 18 months. We have submitted our Expression of Intent and are waiting to be called forward by the NI Charities Commission.
Work has started on the draft Articles of Association for the new Incorporated Charity which is due to be known as Ulster Hockey Ltd. In order to enable Clubs to hear of the proposed structure of Ulster Hockey Ltd we have just completed 4 Club Information Sessions in Ballymena, Cookstown, Banbridge and Belfast. We would like to thank those clubs that hosted the sessions and also the Club representatives that were able to attend.
We are keen to ensure that everybody has the opportunity to read about the proposed new structure and raise any questions, comments or concerns. To that end please find attached:
– A copy of the current draft Articles of Association;
– A copy of the slides presented at the 4 information sessions;
– A graphic of the new proposed structure.
We are proposing that the draft Articles are put to the AGM on 21st May 2019. Over the next 4 weeks we are keen to hear the thoughts of those involved in Hockey in Ulster on the proposed structure and after that we will start to finalise the documents.
