As we enter the final stages of the Denman Ulster Shield which was first played in the 1896-97 season, we are pleased to announce the semi-final draw.
The draw took place at the Denman Company Headquarters in Bangor, Clandeboye Road.
The draw was completed by Denman’s Chairman, Dr John Rainey MBE, who picked the Home Teams, and Claire McComb, Denman Global Marketing Lead, who picked the Away Teams.
Semi-Finalists:
- Pegasus vs Ballymoney
- Belfast Harlequins vs Queen’s University Belfast
The matches will take place on 10th December with the finals on 26th December. All support welcome.
Dr John Rainey MBE, Denman Chairman, comments: “Denman is proud to support the Ulster Shield once again this year. This is a historic trophy which is being competed for most years since 1896-97. It’s great to see the fixture schedule returning to normal after the disruption of Covid last year, and hopefully we will be able to watch the final this year on its traditional date, Boxing Day. At this stage, our best wishes go to our four semi-finalists: Pegasus, Ballymoney, Belfast Harlequins and Queen’s University; and no doubt, we will see another worthy winner in the final.”
