There is an all-EYHL clash in the Kirk Cup today as Lisnagarvey host Annadale at Comber Road.
The home side have all but qualified from the group but will be without Matthew Nelson, Peter McKibbin and Johnny Lynch who are all away on international duty with Ireland.
The reigning champions come into the game in fine form having won both of their opening two group games and having scored 12 goals in the process.
Meanwhile, Andy Williamson has been key to their success having scored six goals in the last week.
Annadale come into the game off the back of thrashing Bangor 5-0 last weekend and hoping to rectify a 3-0 loss to today’s opponents the last time the sides met.
Elsewhere Men’s Premier League leaders Cookstown are looking to add to last week’s group stage win as they take on Belfast Harlequins.
The Mid-Ulster side got their Kirk Cup campaign underway mid-week when they beat Kilkeel 3-2 with goals from Michael Kerr, Greg Allen and Jack Haycock.
A win would go a long way to sealing qualification before they face EYHL side Instonians in their final group fixture.
Today’s opponents Belfast Harlequins are set to get the Kirk Cup campaign underway and will be hoping for an upturn in form during their break from league play.
Quins were flying high in the Premier League but in recent weeks have struggled for points having suffered defeats to the likes of Portadown and South Antrim.
Now they face an uphill battle having lost to Cookstown in both their previous meetings this campaign.
The other game in the group sees Kilkeel host Instonians with both sides looking to get their first points on the board.
Despite a division separating the two sides, a tight game is to be expected in County Down with the two sides coming into today’s game in differing form.
The hosts find themselves second in the Men’s Premier League and in the midst of a title race, whereas Instonians are in the heat of a relegation battle and yet to earn a point in the EYHL.
Whilst Inst are yet to play in the Kirk Cup, Kilkeel have lost their only game in this season’s competition against Cookstown.
The final game of the day sees Queen’s Univeristy hosting North Down with both sides looking to seal second spot in the group.
With Banbridge having sealed top spot after big wins against both these sides, the winner of today’s fixture will finish as runners-up and potentially qualify for the next round.
