Lisnagarvey sealed top spot in their Kirk Cup group as they beat fellow EYHL side Annadale 2-0 at Comber Road.
Goals from Andy Williamson and John Cunningham sealed the victory and maintained their 100 per cent record in the group.
After a tight first quarter Williamson gave his side the lead with his seventh goal in three games just before half time.
The sides continued to contest an even fixture with chances at both ends with the score remaining just one until the final quarter.
That was until youngster John Cunningham doubled his side’s lead in the dying stages to take the game beyond their visitors and give his side all three points.
In Group Three, Queen’s University thrashed North Down 11-0 to finish second in the group with three points.
Conor Irwin was the star of the show as he netted four goals with each of them coming from inch perfect drag flicks.
Adam Reddick and Stephen McDougall both found the net on two occasions each while Cody Large, Scott McCabe and Harry Scott also got their names on the scoresheet.
The emphatic victory sees the students finish second in the group with North Down at the foot of the table without a point and a -18 goal difference.
Elsewhere, Belfast Harlequins brought a halt to their run of poor form as they earned a point away to Cookstown.
Michael Patterson added to his 12 League goals to give his side the lead in the first half and set them on course for victory.
However, a strong Cookstown side continued to create opportunities and eventually found their equalising goal.
Ryan Millar picked out teammate Greg Allen in the circle before the forward finished off the move for his second goal in this year’s competition.
With the sides sharing the spoils, Cookstown find themselves top of the group with four points whilst Quins are in third with one.
However, the biggest shock of the day came in the groups other game as Kilkeel took on EYHL strugglers Instonians.
Despite a division separating the two sides, it was the Premier League team who came away with all three points following a 4-0 win.
Mark Stevenson gave his side the lead from the penalty spot before Ashton Graham scored from a deflection to double their advantage.
In the second half two more goals from William Annett and Taylor McConnell brought the shock lead to 4-0.
With Inst unable to find a response they were condemned to their 11th straight defeat of the season and now find themselves bottom of the group.
