Top meets bottom as Queen’s University hosts Armagh in the Legacy Ulster Women’s Premier League this afternoon.

The students lead the title charge by three points and are unbeaten in their last nine outings.

They now face a side with just three points this season and coming into the game off the back of seven straight defeats.

If Armagh are to get anything from today’s game they will need to stop what is the best attack in the division so far with 41 goals.

Alyssa Jebb and Zoe Wilson are two of just three players in the division to have reached double digits for goals whilst Jenna McCarlie has seven this campaign.

Elsewhere second-placed Ards travel to third-placed Belfast Harlequins with both sides in a run of form.

Just three points off the league leaders having played a game less, a win for the away side would keep the top spot in their own hands.

They come into today’s game having won three of their last four outings and with top scorer Rachel Houston in fine form as she looks to add to her ten goals this season.

However, they won’t have it all their own way as they face a Belfast Harlequins side who have climbed the table in recent weeks.

With 12 points out of the last possible 15 the hosts have hit a run of form which has seen them beat Armagh, Portadown and Omagh.

Meanwhile, they will be out for revenge as they look to eradicate the result from the reverse fixture in October when Ards came out 3-1 victors.

The third game of the day sees Lurgan take on Lisnagarvey in a mid-table clash at Lurgan Junior High School.

With just two points separating the sides in the league table, a win for the visitors could see them overtake today’s opponents.

The last time the sides met they were inseparable, playing out a 1-1 draw at Comber Road in late October.

Both sides come into today’s game looking to return to winning form with Garvey having suffered defeat to Queen’s University in their last outing, whilst Lurgan shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Ballymoney.

A win in today’s fixture would put either side in contention for the third spot with both sides having games in hand of those above them.

There are a further two games in the division with ninth-placed Omagh hosting Portadown and Ballymoney set to host Banbridge.
