Ards lost ground in the title race as they drew 2-2 away to Belfast Harlequins in the Legacy Ulster Women’s Premier League.
The result leaves them five points behind league leaders Queen’s University, but with a game in hand.
A quick start at Deramore saw the hosts take an early lead when Ella Larousse opened the scoring from open play.
However, their lead wouldn’t last as Ali Carson equalised just a minute later with her fifth goal of the season.
The sides remained level until the second half when Carson got her second of the game in the 37th minute and set her side on course for all three points.
However, they couldn’t see out the game as Claire Whiteside earned a point for her side as she drew level from a penalty corner in the final quarter.
Title rivals Queen’s University capitalised on Ards dropped points as they thrashed bottom-of-the-league Armagh 7-0.
Jenna McCarlie opened the scoring as she was first to a loose ball in the circle following a save from a penalty corner.
Alyssa Jebb then doubled the lead with her 13th goal of the season to give her side a 2-0 lead going into the first break.
Shortly after the restart, Jodie Simmons made it 3-0 as she rounded off a strong first half for her side, but it was in the final quarter that the students were at their best.
Jebb, McCarlie and Simmons all got their second strikes of the game to make it 6-0 before Ellie Edwards got her sides seventh of the afternoon to complete the scoring.
The win makes it four victories in a row and unbeaten in ten for the league leaders whose fine form comes with just five games left this season.
Ballymoney continued their upturn in form as they beat Banbridge 3-2 at the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre.
Goals from Olivia Mullan, Aine Kearney and Gayle Adams sealed the close-knit victory for the side as they stay seventh in the table.
The win means Ballymoney have now picked up ten points from their last four games despite having lost their previous six games.
Meanwhile, Banbridge remain eighth in the table and just three points ahead of Armagh in tenth, but with three games in hand.
The day’s other two games saw Portadown inflict a tenth straight defeat on Omagh as they won 3-1, whilst Lurgan and Lisnagarvey continued their fine form as they played out a 1-1 draw.
