In the Men’s Premier League Cookstown are hoping to continue their winning start as they face an away trip to Bangor.
The reigning champions got off to a flying start last weekend as they thrashed Belfast Harlequins 6-0 at home with a Paul Watt hat-trick being the pick of the action.
They now face a Bangor side who have lost both their opening fixtures 3-2 against South Antrim and Harlequins.
However, having beaten EYHL Annadale in the Anderson Cup last month, the visitors have already proven that they are capable of causing an upset.
Elsewhere title hopefuls Instonians take on Portadown as they look to win for a third game running.
Following their relegation from the EYHL, the Belfast club have won both their opening fixtures against P.S.N.I and Kilkeel and scored 10 goals in the process.
They face a Portadown side who were comfortably beaten by Queen’s University last weekend, despite two goals from Ross Beattie and Jamie Wright.
The two sides also met in last month’s Anderson Cup first round when the County Armagh side came out on top, winning 5-4 away from home.
At Deramore Park both Belfast Harlequins and North Down are hoping to bounce back from heavy defeats last weekend.
The home side come into the game off the back of their heavy defeat to Cookstown last week, whilst their visitors lost 6-2 to P.S.N.I in their season opener.
The game also marks the first home game of the season for Harlequins having played their first league game away to Bangor where they won 3-2 with Aaron Murphy netting the winning goal.
The fourth game of the weekend sees Queen’s University host South Antrim at The Dub.
The Students made a winning start to their Men’s Premier League campaign with a convincing 5-2 win over Portadown last weekend.
Goals from Daniel Irvine, Ben Law, Sam Boyd and Harry Scott (2) helped seal the win as they now prepare to face the side they pipped to the title two years ago.
Their Lisburn opponents also got off to a winning start as with a 3-2 victory over Bangor thanks to goals from Chris Henry, Ryan West and Rory Brown as they now face a difficult first away game of the season.
The final game of the weekend sees PSNI take on Kilkeel.
