National Umpires Award Course

29 Jul 2019 | Club Information Slider

The first National Umpire Award Course of the 2019/20 season will take place at Newforge Country Club, Belfast on  Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th August from 7.00pm to 9.30pm.

This course will give prospective umpires a solid grounding in the rules and regulations of field hockey.

Candidates will receive a work book, a ‘Fox 40’ whistle and a small laminated ‘areas of control’ coloured pocket card.

Umpiring is a great way to be involved in hockey. It gives you the opportunity to give something back to the sport you love, whilst also helping to widen participation in the sport. There are opportunities for everyone to umpire and whatever your aspirations, you will receive support from Ulster Hockey!
