Ulster Hockey is delighted to announce a new partnership with Sports Medicine NI who will now sponsor the front of our U16 shirts.
Sports Medicine NI offers a comprehensive management service for athlete injury and health. Using their in-house sports science and medicine experts, they are able to provide a holistic and team approach to guide the athlete on their journey to health and performance.
Speaking on the new sponsorship, Doctor Alan Rankin said he is delighted to help our young athletes;
“We are delighted to establish this partnership with Ulster Hockey and look forward to helping their athletes on their performance pathway”
Meanwhile, Ulster Hockey Talent and Pathways Manager Shirley McCay spoke of the benefits the new partnership will have for our youth sides both on and off the pitch and in the event of injury.
“It’s important that our young athletes are provided support off the pitch as well as on it, and there’s no doubt we now have a fantastic partnership with highly qualified practitioners with years of experience in sports medicine.
Ulster Hockey is delighted to align our pathway with support from Sports Medicine NI and I know our athletes will be in the best possible hands should they need support away from the hockey pitch.”
The U16 squads are next in action at the end of July when both male and female squads will travel to Nottingham University to face a number of English talent academies.
