Hockey for all in Ulster

Hockey 4 All is an international initiative through the FIH and is designed to include young people with learning difficulties to come and try hockey in a safe environment, and to have fun.

Over the last two years Ulster Hockey has been promoting and helping to deliver a Hockey 4 All programme in various locations. Venues to date include Armagh, Larne, Comber, Belfast and Hillsborough. In the next 12 – 24 months we want to expand this into other areas especially outside the Greater Belfast area. In some locations we have worked along side clubs, whilst in other areas we have attended SEN schools such as Roddensvale in Larne and Beechlawn in Hillsborough.

With the weather hopefully being better and more free pitches, Summer is the ideal time to run Hockey 4 All programmes. This is an opportunity for some fun in the sun for our young hockey players.

Ulster Hockey wish to expand this programme so if you know of any school and/or hockey club who would like to be part of this then please contact the Ulster Hockey Inclusion & Diversity Officer, Eamonn McFerran at eamonn@ulsterhockey.com or call Eamonn on 07562688989.
