The Ulster Hockey U15 Girls Performance Finals get underway this evening at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club from 6.45pm.
Tonights tournament will feature two semi-finals running simultaneously with each game being split into two 20 minute halves, whilst the final is set to take place at 8:00pm.
All games will also have two umpires with one umpire being provided by each of the clubs involved in that match.
Our first game features on the blue water based pitch and is to be contested between Portadown and Mossley.
The County Armagh side will be hoping their U15s can match the success of their U13s who won their equivalent tournament last week at PlayBall. Meanwhile they face a stern test from a strong Mossley side who impressed many during qualification.
In the qualifiers Portadown were one of the teams to beat and put in many dominant performances, but their most impressive result was beating fellow semi-finalists Armagh 13-2 in September.
Opponents Mossley also showed their ability during that time and notably recorded impressive results as they beat Club KV 1-0 and Bangor 3-0.
Semi-final two will be on the green pitch and will see Coleraine take on Armagh.
Armagh will be hoping they can win tonights competition and put that heavy defeat against Portadown in the qualifiers behind them as they impressively bounced back to qualify for tonight. Meanwhile Coleraine have proved they can cause problems for many teams having beaten the likes of Belfast Harlequins already this season.
The successful side in each semi-final will then meet in the final with the winner being crowned U15 Girls Champions!
Ulster Hockey asks that all sides check-in 30 minutes before their first game is set to start, whilst pitches will be available from 6:00pm for teams to warm-up.
