Ulster Coaches Required!!

Ulster Hockey is seeking to appoint qualified coaches to work with the Ulster Hockey Performance Groups at U16, U18 and U21 levels for both genders.

Appointments will include:

  • Head Coach
  • Assistant Coach (2 per age group and gender)
  • Goalkeeper coach

Roles operate within the Ulster Hockey Player Pathway, led and managed by Ulster Hockey’s Talent Coach.

The coaching role will be for an initial 12 months, with the possibility of it being extended for a further 12 month period. It is anticipated that each squad’s programme will begin around February/March culminating around the end of September 2019. This will include at least one development series (either in NI or in the UK – (with the exception of the U16 Girls who will play in a club tournament in Holland) and the Interprovincial tournaments (U16/U18 Girls in Munster, U16/U18 Boys in Ulster).

Ulster Hockey will provide appointed Head and Assistant Coaches with Guidelines on their role and all Coaches will be provided with the opportunity to undertake associated CPD opportunities. In particular Ulster Hockey is keen to support coaches by providing them with a mentor and supporting them with video analysis. An Honorarium will be paid to both Head and Assistant Coaches in recognition of their contribution to the Performance Programmes.

  • how you believe you can assist the development of our leading talent at these age levels;
  • what you would like to gain from the role e.g. experience, further development.
