The Ulster U16 and U18 Girls take on Leinster South in their opening Interprovincial games this Sunday.
Both sides will travel to Kilkenny College as they look for a winning start in this year’s competition.
The fixtures continue a busy schedule for our youth sides following games against the UK Lions and Hockey Mentors over the summer holidays.
They also come a week after our boys’ sides got their Interpro campaign off to a winning start with victories over Leinster at Havelock Park.
For the U18s, it will be their first time in action since the UK School Games last month when they were crowned champions with a victory over England.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, U16 Coach Davy Menaul said;
“The girls are very much looking forward to getting their interprovincial campaign underway.
They have committed fully to the programme and can take confidence from our performances against Scotland U16s, 18s, UK Lions, Young Mentors and Mossley.
This is an exciting group of young athletes who we as a coaching team are very much looking forward to watching perform in a high-performance environment.”
