Belfast Harlequins are seeking to get their EYHL2 campaign back on track when they travel to Kilkenny this afternoon.

The Deramore side won their opening game of the competition before suffering defeat last weekend against Cork Harlequins.

Goals from Emma Frazer and Claire Whiteside weren’t enough for the Belfast side to get anything from the game.

Today they take on a Kilkenny side who also suffered defeat to Cork Harlequins in their only game of the competition to date.

The Dubliners are currently fifth in the Leinster Women’s Division One and most recently drew 1-1 away to Three Rock Rovers.

Lurgan are also hoping to bounce back from defeat in the competition after narrowly losing at home to Ards last weekend.

The side have been in terrific league form this campaign having tasted defence just once but it is last week’s opponents who have proved to have their number having also inflicted that defeat.

Today they face Dublin side Muckross who themselves have picked up one win from their opening two games of EYHL2 action.

There are also three games in the Legacy Ulster Women’s Premier League with league leaders Queen’s University hosting Ards.

The student side have led the way for much of the season and now need a maximum of just five points to secure the title.

They come into today’s game having beaten Banbridge 3-0 at Havelock Park in the Irish Senior Cup last weekend.

Goals from Jodie Simmons, Megan Cochrane and Jenna McCarlie sealed the routine win that day and kept them battling on all fronts.

Today’s opponents Omagh find themselves at the wrong end of the table and in the heat of the relegation battle.

Having made a strong start to the season, they are now on a run of nine straight losses during which they have tumbled down the table.

Elsewhere in the division, Ballymoney are set to host Portadown at the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre.

In recent weeks the home side have seen a dramatic upturn in form and most recently earned a point against title-chasing Ards.

The side are on a run which has seen them lose just once in five games with top goal scorer Nikki Parke bringing her tally to four.

However, they face another tough task this afternoon as they take on fourth-placed Portadown.

The County Armagh side have impressed many following their promotion last year and won the reverse fixture 3-1 in November.

There is one other game in the division today with Lisnagarvey taking on bottom-of-the-table Armagh where a win could see the Comber Road side climb into the top half.
