What is the Youth Forum? 

The Youth Forum is designed to give young people involved in field hockey the chance to share their ideas, provide valuable feedback, and contribute to the growth and development of youth hockey in Ulster. It’s a space where your voice matters—you can offer insights on how the sport is run, suggest new ideas, and make an impact on the future of youth hockey.

What We’re Looking For 

We are seeking passionate, driven individuals who: 

Have a strong interest in the future of youth field hockey: You should care about where the sport is heading and want to have a positive impact. 

Understand the structure of youth hockey: Some knowledge of how youth hockey works (e.g. clubs, schools, leagues) is important to contribute meaningfully. 

Have the confidence to share ideas: You need to be comfortable speaking up and giving your opinion in group settings. 

Can think creatively: We want people who can generate fresh ideas and think outside the box. 

Are able to represent their peers: You’ll need to listen to and represent the views of other young people in the sport. 

What’s Required 

As a forum member, you’ll be expected to: 

Attend 4 to 6 meetings throughout the year. 

Commit to attending at least 90% of the meetings to ensure consistency and a collaborative environment.
